Everyday I send my son to his school. However, today, my son was late for school in the noon. It was just 2:30pm, when we approached the school gate, which was being prepared to close. After my son entered through the gate, one of the students who standed by the gate being on duty called him, asking him which class he belonged to, then writing down his name on a small blackboard hung on the wall of the gatehouse.
Today’s lateness should be owed to my fault. However I also felt unfair, I don’t know why the school hasn’t set the studying time as before. Previously, the time for my son going to school was 2: 10 pm. after May Day holiday, both my son’s time for school and my working time in our campus were all changed. According to the rules for which the primary school ever used before, the altered time should be set at 2: 40pm., half an hour later than before. Therefore if according to the previous rule, we were not late.
My son’s name has been recorded on the blackboard, and I think he would feel displeased. In my impression, during last few years, he had been late only once. This was the second. However as a hindsight, my son should be blamed for the lateness as he doesn’t know the right time when he should arrive at school on time.
