Last Sunday, a music appreciation party was held on 7:00pm by the music training center, where about thirty trainees showed their performance including my son’s. It has become the routines the center will hold a party in two or three months interval in a bid to enhance the ability for the trainees playing publicly. Frequently playing before the audience quite likely can reduce the mental fidgeting when appearing at the stage someday. No doubt, learning a music instrument means you will be on the stage and display your talents to attract the attention of the viewer. I think the music appreciation party is a necessary course and benefits much for those music learners.

However, this time the center putting forth the party was not thoughtful. To some extent it was a little in a rush. We didn’t receive the program leaflet till we arrived at the center. I felt a little discontented when I found my son was listed in the bottom line. Of course the order was altered by the head of music center because some students could not come on time.

Among the players who showed the performance that night, most are piano-learner, only my son is bamboo-flute-learner. Therefore my son’s show hit the spotlight. The applause, I considered, was the warmest after he finished. I asked the head why other students who are learning other music instrument didn’t come, he said because they failed to contact them due to the time unavailable.

It was only an informal party, lasting just more than one hour. After the all participants finished their show, an award ceremony was held. The head announced the names who have obtained the award certificate or the grade exam certificate, then the named students stepped forward and a photo was taken with the head.

A group photo including the students and their teachers as well as the center staff was taken. By the way I also snatched the chance and took several photos for them.

My son’s program was a bamboo flute music: The Train Galloping Towards Beijing City, which my son is very familiar with.
