On July 22, Am9:25 to 9:31, the total solar eclipse was taking place in Wuhan city, where was considered to be the best place to observe the solar eclipse occurring in the central, eastern and western China including Chongqing, Hubei, Anhui and Shanghai, etc. I think everyone who experienced the particular moment will commit it to memory forever.

It was said according to the astronomer this total solar eclipse was not easy to meet with, the next time of having the chance to watch the same scene like this should be dated three hundred years later.

Several days ago, I have learnt a lot from the media on how to observe the solar eclipse. There are a lot of methods that could be used. My son and I chose to use the diskette used in computer before. There are quite a lot of diskettes at my home. As you all know, the computer diskette has become obsolete due to the development of computer technology. We now use the U disc instead of computer floppy diskette. My son and I took out the films from the diskette. According to the instruction of the scientific method to avoid harming the eyes, I glued two films together at first, to obtain the best effect, I cut other films apart, then using the cut pieces to fill the center place where it was a round hole.  

When just before the spectacular time came, my son and I went to the playground where was thought to be the fine place to watch eclipse in our campus. On the way to the playground, the road lamps were lit about ten minutes before the whole solar eclipse, it really fueled the atmosphere.

When we arrived at the playground, there were so many people gathering there, including the students, the local residents like me, as well as some workers who stayed beside the road.

It was a little regretful the weather in Wuhan city was not desirable. When approaching the real time, the sky turned its face to be cloudy. The sun came out from the cloud, while it hid behind it after a while. Anyway, it was still memorable the total solar eclipse gave us a profound experience. The total solar eclipse lasted about five minutes. During the beginning and the end, the crowds voiced aloud with happiness and exclamation.

In my memory, about twenty years ago when I was a senior high school student, there was a total solar eclipse which lasted only two minutes or so. I wrote down it in my diary then.
