Do you want to retire early or late? Currently the age of retirement set by legislature is 60 for men and 55 for women. Other special regulation is not included here.
There existed a proposal in recent congress in which someone put forward the retirement age should set at 70,65 for men and women respectively. It was said this proposal was applauded by many. The purpose of this proposal was in a bid to abate the burden of social ensurance that is currently in a situation that the income can not match the expediture significantly. Postponing the age of retirement is an effective way to counteract  current and future shortage in income.
Do you agree with this proposal? As for me, I am against it strongly. In most of western countries, the legal retirement age is 65. Can China do the same as those countries? As we all know, China is currently a developing country with millions of people that can only live hand to mouth. For most destitute areas,  enjoying life is a luxurious desire. Of course they are excluded from the groups that can claim retire pay. For those citizens who are eligible to reclaim pension, I think most of them will not embrace the idea of postponing the age of retirement.
Working is not an easy thing. As a Chinese, you must face competitive pressure from all walks of life. When as a student, you should compete with your classmates to stand out. Parents tell their children future competition will be enormous, if you want to get a decent job in the future you should study hard from now on. Therefore there is no more time for a student to relax. Intense study constitutes the whole life of being a student. They can give a sigh of relief only when they go to college.
After working, the life pressure is much more obvious. Buying a decent house is a must for getting to the hall of marriage. For most of young man, they become the slave of house to pay the loan. In China most of people are dependent on limited fixed salary. Furthermore we are always beleaged by a variety of latent health threats caused by those mercenary  business men who produced the unhealthy food endangering our lives. Do you think we will have a long life under this disappointed living environment?
When we reach the age of 60, there will be only limited life for us to be enjoyable. There is large income gap between developed country and developing country, why do China simulate them in this aspect but without considering how to improve the living standard of people as a pressing task?
